We recommend customers to move to the latest version,
ServiceDesk Plus 5.5 (Build 5501). Find
your Build Number to Download and install the relevant
Service Packs or Upgrade Pack.
| Note: We strongly recommend
you to take backups before migrating. This helps
you prevent accidental loss of data. |

5001, 5002, 5003, 5004, 5005, 5006, 5007, 5008,
5009, 5010 and also 5500 can install this Hotfix
for enhanced user experience and to address the
listed issues. |

Attention, Customers migrating from build 4112 to
Build 5001:
if you have configured a remote MySQL database
- ServiceDesk Plus 5 bundles MySQL 4.1.12. When you
install the Upgrade Pack, it will migrate all the
data from the remote MySQL database to your local
machine.
- After successfully migrating the data, the remote
connection will be disabled
- If you want to continue using the remote MySQL database,
you have to install MySQL 4.1.12 in the remote machine,
then backup data from updated local database and upgrade
the database running in the remote machine
- You need to edit the mysql-ds.xml file present under
<[ServiceDesk Home]\server\default\deploy>
to point to the location of the remote database.

Instructions to apply the Service Pack
/ Hotfix
- Shut down ServiceDesk Plus Server.
- Run the script UpdateManager.bat (UpdateManager.sh for
Linux) in the <ServiceDesk_Plus_Home>/bin folder.
This opens the Update Manager tool.
- Click "Browse" to select the Service Pack file
(AdventNet_ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_<Version
No>_0_0_SP-x_0.ppm file that you had downloaded)
and then click "Install...".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to apply the Service
Pack / Hotfix.
- Once the upgrade is complete, start ServiceDesk Plus Server.
Instructions to apply the Upgrade
Pack
- Shut down ServiceDesk Plus Server.
- Unzip the Upgrade Pack zip file under <ServiceDesk_Plus_Home>
folder. If prompted to overwrite the existing files, choose
the Yes to All option.
- Run the script UpdateManager.bat (UpdateManager.sh for
Linux) in the <ServiceDesk_Plus_Home>/bin folder.
This opens the Update Manager tool.
- Click "Browse" to select the Upgrade Pack file
(AdventNet_ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_4_1_0_SP-14.ppm
file present under <ServiceDesk_Plus_Home> folder)
and then click "Install...".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to apply the Upgrade
Pack.
- Once the upgrade is complete, start ServiceDesk Plus Server.
How can I find the Build Number
of ServiceDesk Plus?
- In the ServiceDesk Plus web client, click the "About"
link on top right of the page.
- You should see the Build number mentioned on the top right
of the page.
- Check the following image guide to locate the build number.
