VP Business Development |
|
Responsibilities:
- Recruit
and effectively manage a team of business development consultants
- Assist
executive team in formulation of business development strategy,
including pricing strategy for launches into different markets
- Identify,
target, and close deals with customers (franchisees)
- Liaise
with technical support and other functional areas to effectively
service existing customers
- Define
business development quotas based on account potential
- Ensure
availability of appropriate resources and effectively allocate
Business Development Consultants within territories
- Implement
and maintain established standards for Business Development
Consultants (i.e. productivity, goals, direction and customer
satisfaction)
- Ensure
sales and margin objectives are met
- Assist
in design and implementation of a training curriculum for Business
Development Consultants according to the i3' sales policy
- Provide
leadership and guidance in a team-selling environment. Coach,
mentor and develop Business Development Consultants
- Prepare
budget reports
Requirements:
- 5 years
experience in sales
- Proven
skills in negotiating and closing significant commercial deals
- Regional
experience
- Proven
track record in effectively leading sales teams
- Account
responsibility for generating and developing new business clients
- Industry
knowledge of Asian office supply markets strongly preferred
- Software
industry experience a definite plus, particularly B2B e-commerce
- IT experience
required
- Able to
coordinate a team to achieve their own objectives
- High degree
of autonomy and self-motivation
- Flexible,
open-minded and keen to work in a dynamic environment
- Business
development management and leadership skills
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills
- Willing
to travel
- BA/BS required,
MBA preferred
