Web Application Developer
|
Responsibilities:
- Build applications and tools which help the firm realize it's e-commerce strategy
- Build software components which comply with specified application architectures and design details
- Build software applications to provide the technical architecture of Web sites or Web-based software products
- Write detailed technical requirements and/or specification documentation
- Write detailed technical assessments
- Research industry best practice
- Research alternative technical solutions
- Research potential development tools
- Interview technical personnel guided by a pre-developed questionnaire
- Write detailed design specifications of individual components
- Write test cases for various testing phases (i.e. integration testing, system testing)
- Execute unit and integration testing
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree with 1 to 3 years in developing web applications
- Expertise in technologies, including HTML, C and Java (with a minimum of 1 year experience in at least two of these)
- Strong understanding of the systems life cycle
- Experience with NT or Unix environment • Experience testing code to support QA efforts
- Understanding of code manipulation and optimization issues
- Understanding of different web-based architectures (i.e. Netscape, IIS)
- Experience with server-side technologies, database integration and content management system requirements
- Expertise with XML and Java
- Strong communication skills
- Desire to collaborate with others in a team environment
